Russia publicly said it's not sharing intel with Iran right as missiles hit Haifa. that's Putin telling Trump "I stayed out of it" so the Ukraine deal can move forward. By denying any intel sharing with Iran, Russia is trying to de-escalate tensions with Washington. Whether this is a strategic lie or the truth, the White House is currently taking Putin at his word.

Russia publicly distancing itself from Iran mid-conflict is a calculated message to Washington that they want no part of the military liability. Whether it’s true or not the statement is designed to keep a diplomatic door open with the West.

The White House claimed: Russia is providing Iran intelligence help to target U.S. forces, Washington Post reports. But Russia denies it.
